Hello Divine Providence Community!  My name is Nicolette Welte.  I have a deep committment to Catholic education, after being Catholic educated my entire educational career.  I believe that Catholic education has greatly shaped my life and the person that I am today.

 I attended St. Cyprian grade school in River Grove, IL and Fenwick High School in Oak Park, IL.  After high school,  I attended Providence College in Providence, RI where I earned a Bachelor of the Arts Degree in History and Secondary Education.  A few years later, I attended Dominican University in River Forest, IL where I received a Master of the Arts Degree in Educational Administration.  

Since I graduated from college, I also solely worked in Catholic schools.  Immediately after college, I worked at Guerin College Preparatory High School in RIver Grove, IL.  I worked as a teacher and the Dean of Students.  I also served on a number of committees, including working on the Student Life Committee, planning multiple events for students, as well as planning the Kairos retreats and coaching Girls' Softball.  After 10 years working at Guerin Prep, I accepted a position at Fenwick High School, as the Assitant Dean of Students.  After 3 years, I really wanted to be back in the classroom full time, which brought me here to Divine Providence.  I am so excited to be here!
